1          Karakia Timatanga / Opening Prayer

The meeting commenced at 11:30 am with a karakia whakatau led by Te Hono staff member Lawrence Wharerau.

Outgoing and incoming members, visitors, and those recently passed were acknowledged. The Chief Executive’s appointed officer, Amber Wihongi-Alderton (Democracy Advisor), welcomed attendees and initiated the agenda with support from  Kohepu - Deputy Mayor Chicky Rudkin in making and attesting declarations.
