Room - Te Ahu, Cnr State Highway 1 and Mathews Avenue, Kaitaia ON Monday, 8 August 2022 AT 10:01 am
PRESENT: Chairperson Fiona King, Member Adele Gardner, Member Mike Masters, Member Greg Yuretich, Member Joe King.
IN ATTENDANCE: Mr Danny Brian (Awanui District)
STAFF PRESENT: Glenn Rainham (Manager – Infrastructure Operations), Richard Jenkins (Ventia), James Ross (3 Waters Engineer), Marlema Baker (Democracy Advisor)

Resolution 2022/7 Moved: Chairperson Fiona King Seconded: Member Adele Gardner That the Kaitaia Drainage Area Committee confirms that the minutes of the meeting of the Kaitaia Drainage Area Committee held 21 March 2022 are a true and correct record. Matters Arising: · Letter not sent to Mr Van Bysterveld – need to correct spelling of his name. (Richard to meet with Mr Van Bysterveld before /08/22 and follow- up with a letter) and meet with Greg Yuretich. · Page 9 bullet point one – not completed. · Page 9 bullet point 3 - completed · Workshop hasn’t happened – Committee requests an update on the Management Plan. · Item 4.2 and 4.3 in minutes date 3/11/2020 – not completed – work in progress. · Church Gully Mechanical cleaning and spraying completed. Oinu stream not completed. · Bullet point 1: Page 15 not completed · Bullet point 2: Partially completed. · Check that there is a Drainage code in the RFS system. · That an Action Sheet Update Report be included in future agendas with updates to be populated by Glenn / James Ross. · Chair Fiona King requests that Waiharara/Kaikino Drainage Committee members receive a copy of the Drainage Financial Reports when they are completed. |

Resolution 2022/8 Moved: Chairperson Fiona King Seconded: Member Mike Masters That the Kaitaia Drainage Area Committee: a) note and review the 2021/2022 work report. b) recommend the reviewed 2021/2022 work report to the Te Hiku Community Board for information. Notes: · Houston Drain will be looked at by Greg/Richard. · James to locate Troy’s notes on the edited drainage management plans. · Future workshop to be held with Drainage committees on drainage management plans. |

Resolution 2022/9 Moved: Chairperson Fiona King Seconded: Member Greg Yuretich That the Kaitaia Drainage Area Committee recommend that the Te Hiku Community Board approve the Spraying Works Programme, as per the report, and the machine cleaning for the H. Subritzky Drain from State Highway 10 to the river (approximately 300 metres), based on the assumption that the funds are available and in the financial accounts that were not presented today. |
