Notes:
- Drone has not been purchased to date.
- Requested that the drain lengths and the cost be shown in the Expenditure Reports, however this has not happened.
- Staff have not checked with Northland Regional Council to investigate the use of other chemicals for problems weeds.

Note:
- The $250 recorded as a historic correction in the resolution is due to a maintenance job costed under the urban budget which went to the Draining Committee, this has been funded back into the account for the Drainage Committee.

Moved: Member Jim Bennett Seconded: Member Greg Yuretich That the Kaitaia Drainage Area Committee recommends the Te Hiku Community Board approve the Kaitaia Drainage Area 2019/20 work programme. Moved: Member Jim Bennett Seconded: Member Greg Yuretich That the Kaitaia Drainage Area Committee recommends the Te Hiku Community Board: a) approve the Kaitaia Drainaing Area Work Programme 2019/2020. b) request staff check the additional maps and amend the 2019/2020 Work Programme accordingly. c) increase the general contingency from $3,000 to $5,000 to include drains that have been left off the 2019/2020 work programme. The amendment became the substantive motion Committee Resolution 2019/7 That the Kaitaia Drainage Area Committee recommends the Te Hiku Community Board: a) approve the Kaitaia Drainaing Area Work Programme 2019/2020. b) request staff check the additional maps and amend the 2019/2020 Work Programme accordingly. c) increase the general contingency from $3,000 to $5,000 to include drains that have been left off the 2019/2020 work programme. |
Notes:
- Spains Drain - Member Jo King to speak to the landowner for the removal of the Leylandii trees.
- Pukepoto Outfall (recorded as Pukieti Outfall in the report) – Mike Maters to continue discussion with land owner.
- Birds Drain – only to be sprayed on request by landowner.
- McMillans to Tupes Drain and Pairatahi Bank Drain – landowners have advised that gates are on the fences – FNDC staff to confirm
- Maimaru Drain – mulching to be completed and landowner to be contacted.
- Waimanone to Walkers Drain – staff to contact landowner.
- Birds Boundary Drain – Committee is not aware of the trees.
- Yates Drain/Wests Drain – Member Jo King to speak to Dave Grey, spraying to be only when requested by landowner.
- Bells Road, Blairs Drain, Houstons Drain and Berghans Drain - machine clean requested for 2019/2020.
- Request that contractors be more specific when making comments on issues on the drains and provide a map with the exact location.
- Request staff keep a register of machine cleaning for records.
